Apollo MedFlight has established the Critical Air Care scholarship fund for the enhancement of education in the field of emergency medicine.

One $1,500 scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student enrolled in an accredited college working towards their degree as a Registered Nurse. One $1,500 scholarship is also awarded to a full-time student in an accredited paramedic program. The student must also have an Emergency Medical Technician certification or show proof they are working towards obtaining one.

Selection Criteria
These scholarship awards are granted based on the student’s prior academic performance, their demonstrated interest in flight medicine and any relevant work experience. Additionally, recommendations from community members and area hospitals are considered.

Application Process
Applicants must submit, in writing, a summary of their interests in the medical field, any work experience, emergency medical career aspirations, and extracurricular interests. The application must include three letters of reference from current or past employers and instructors. (At least one from each category is required.) The applicant’s full name, permanent mailing address, email address, and a phone number are required with the application in addition to their college and high school transcripts.

All applications and supporting materials must arrive at the Apollo MedFlight office by March 31th of the year prior to attendance.
